At Bonny Downs, we are here to support our neighbours in need, give you a helping hand, and the tools to help you move forward. Our current support services include:
Food Bank
At our Food Bank, our volunteers provide emergency food parcels and a free hot lunch and we have professionals on site to provide advice and support. You will need to bring a referral voucher. Please read our Food Bank page for more info.
Food Club
Our Food Club is open to anyone who lives in E6. You do not need to prove your income or bring a referral voucher. You can just turn up on the day. The cost to attend is £5 per visit, and in return you can exchange tokens for the food and household items of your choice. Please read our Food Club page for more information.
Data Bank
At our Food Club, Food Bank and Family Hub sessions, we offer free devices and data from the National Databank for those who are eligible.
ESOL
Our ESOL classes are free for everyone to improve their English speaking skills. Contact support@bonnydowns.org for more information
Debt Centre
Our Debt Centre offers debt and money management advice. We offer a limited number of face-to-face sessions, arranged by appointment only. This service is for Newham residents who are seeking support with personal debt (not associated with a business or self employment) and willing to face issues and seek resolution. We are affiliated to Community Money Advice and members of FCA.
We are currently closed to new cases. You can find alternative debt advice through here.
NEWday Centre
Through our partnership with NEWday, we support homeless and vulnerably housed adults with job search support, life skills courses, showers, laundry facilities, advocacy and signposting. To receive support from NEWday you must have a London borough of Newham connection, and be an adult without dependents (children and elders).
For more info on available services, location and opening hours, please visit the NEWday website.
